About The Position

The Youth Ministry Director leads and oversees the overall Young Life Military program, known as Club Beyond, at a military installation. The program is ecumenically focused and outreach oriented, serving military teens by building relationships, providing a safe and welcoming community, and helping them develop friendships, hope, resiliency, and a sense of identity and purpose grounded in God’s love. Staff are expected to live near the community where they will serve and to embrace the military culture and the frequent turnover among teens, families, chaplains, and volunteers. The role involves developing relationships with teens and adults in the local community, military installation, and chapel community; reaching unchurched teens; discipling Christian teens; and equipping volunteers to lead hands-on middle- and high-school Christian youth programs. The position requires a relational, incarnational approach and adherence to Club Beyond’s values: Christ-centered leadership, an exclusively military focus, ecumenical perspective, strategic partnerships, professionalism, and excellent stewardship. The organization is hiring for both full-time and part-time staff across U.S. and international locations; the listed salary and benefits are specified for full-time staff.
