About The Position
We are looking for a Youth League Official/Coach to join our team at the Y! We spend our days positively impacting the community around us through athletics. We help children reach their potential, enact age appropriate goals, and we change lives in our Y community.
Requirements
- Minimum 16 years of age
- Excellent knowledge of instructing in the program area - Basketball, Soccer, Flag Football, and more!
- Ability to perform activities which require sustained concentration and attention.
- Mornings, nights, and/or weekend availability
Responsibilities
- Run on-site instruction for youth sports leagues including stretch & warmup, activities, & games for respective sport
- Coach youth flag football, soccer, basketball teams in practices & games
- Officiate youth flag football games via NFL Flag rules, youth soccer via MLS Soccer rules, and basketball games depending on the season
- Teach age-appropriate skills following YMCA curriculum for respective sport
- Set up class 15 minutes prior to scheduled start time to ensure classes begin on time
- Provide a safe & clean environment that allows members and participants to learn YMCA programs
- Take attendance to ensure participants are enrolled in class
- Lead teams with positivity & enthusiasm
- Provide excellent service to members and participants
