Youth Fitness & Sports Teacher
About The Position
Euro School of Tennis is seeking friendly, energetic individuals to teach fun, beginner-level physical education and sports activities to children in Grades K–3 at various elementary schools across the Bay Area. Training, lesson plans, and equipment are provided. The position is part-time and in person, with a flexible schedule of approximately 2–5 hours per week. Classes last 1–1.5 hours and are scheduled Monday through Friday between 1:00 and 5:00 PM; weekend opportunities may be available. Pay is $18.00–$24.00 per hour. The role may offer opportunities to coach other sports and potentially grow into a Lead Coach role.
Requirements
- Must be 19 years or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Enjoy working with children.
- Be reliable, positive, and willing to learn.
- Good communication and classroom management skills.
- Reliable transportation.
- Able to complete a background check.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available.
Nice To Haves
- Sports playing or coaching experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Lead fun and engaging PE and sports activities.
- Manage groups of 8–10 children.
- Set up equipment and take attendance.
- Keep classes safe, active, and enjoyable.
- Communicate with parents and school staff.
