Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Security-related experience of 6+ months is required.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, screening visitors, verifying identification, and documenting entry and exit activity at a government location.
  • Monitor assigned entrances, exits, gates, and restricted areas to help support authorized access for staff, visitors, vendors, and/or contractors in accordance with post orders and facility policies.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help identify security-related concerns, policy violations, and/or maintenance issues that should be reported.
  • Prepare accurate logs, reports, and incident documentation related to access control activity, visitor processing, key or credential accountability, and other security-related duties.
