About The Position

As a Youth Facility Security Officer - Check Driver in Ridgeville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • COLA: DPSS/DHS – Tuberculosis test/MMR vaccinations are required.
  • A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Monitor entrances and exits, verify identification and authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access by following established post orders and reporting protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site personnel and public agency representatives as needed.
  • Document visitor activity, deliveries, and security-related incidents in logs and reports, maintaining accurate records for the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations.
