This is a driving post. You will remain visible to help deter incidents, assist visitors and staff, and contribute to a dependable team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Security experience of 6+ months is required.
  • Must be 21+ years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or identification, screen authorized visitors and deliveries, and help to deter unauthorized access within a government location.
  • Maintain visitor logs, badge distribution records, and other access control documentation while communicating clearly with site personnel regarding entry requests and/or unusual activity.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations through required site and Allied Universal procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, with working environments and conditions that may vary by site.
