About The Position

Teach dance classes for younger and beginner-level children ages 5–10 at elementary schools across the Bay Area. Classes run Monday through Friday between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Coaches typically teach one approximately one-hour class per day, with the possibility of an additional 30 minutes of pre-care. The position is part-time, typically 2–5 hours per week, and pays $50–$65 per session; the posting also lists compensation of $50–$65 per hour. The company provides all equipment and lesson plans. Coaches must attend a two-day training or shadowing session before starting and must be available to work in person locally.

Requirements

Must be at least 19 years old when applying.
Must currently live locally and be available for in-person work.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must be flexible, reliable, and punctual.
Must be fully vaccinated and willing to complete a TB test and Live Scan background check before starting.
Must already be eligible to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Nice To Haves

Experience in the sport being applied for, coaching, or working with children is preferred but not required.
Enjoys working with children in a positive and active setting.

Responsibilities

Teach classes for students ages 5–10 using provided lesson plans.
Manage classes of 8–16 students and maintain a positive, energetic environment.
Attend a two-day training or shadowing session before starting work.
Take attendance and manage student sign-ins.
Interact with parents and school staff.
Capture a few class photos for documentation.
Provide a photo and short biography for the company website and introduce relevant sports experience.
