Youth Dance Instructor
About The Position
The Youth Dance Instructor teaches beginner-level dance classes for children ages 5–10 at elementary schools across the Bay Area. Programs run Monday through Friday between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Instructors typically teach one class per day, about one hour long, with the possibility of an additional 30 minutes of pre-care. The position is part-time, typically 2–5 hours per week, and pays $50–$65 per session. The company provides the equipment and lesson plans. Instructors must complete a two-day training or shadowing session before starting and have reliable transportation for in-person work at multiple school locations.
Requirements
- Be at least 19 years old when applying.
- Currently live locally and be available for in-person work.
- Enjoy working with children in a positive and active setting.
- Be flexible, reliable, and punctual.
- Have reliable transportation.
- Be fully vaccinated and willing to undergo a TB test and Live Scan background check before starting.
- Complete and submit a photo and short biography for the company website, introducing relevant sports experience.
- Already be eligible to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not provided.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in the sport being applied for, coaching, or working with children is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Teach classes for students ages 5–10 using provided lesson plans.
- Manage classes of 8–16 students and maintain a positive environment.
- Attend a two-day training or shadowing session before starting.
- Take attendance, manage student sign-ins, and interact with parents and school staff.
- Capture a few class photos for documentation.
