About The Position

The Youth Dance Instructor teaches fun, energetic classes for beginner-level children ages 5–10 at elementary schools across the Bay Area. Programs run Monday through Friday between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM. This is a part-time role, typically involving one approximately one-hour class per day, with the possibility of an additional 30 minutes of pre-care. Classes generally have 8–16 students. The company provides equipment and lesson plans. Instructors must complete a two-day training or shadowing session before starting and be available for in-person work locally.

Requirements

Must be at least 19 years old at the time of application.
Must currently live locally and be available for in-person work.
Must enjoy working with children in a positive and active setting.
Must be flexible, reliable, and punctual.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must be fully vaccinated and willing to undergo a TB test and Live Scan background check before starting work.
Must send a photo and short biography for the company website, introducing their experience in sports.
Applicants must already be eligible to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Nice To Haves

Experience in the sport being applied for, coaching, or working with children is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Teach classes for students ages 5–10 using provided lesson plans.
Manage classes of 8–16 students and maintain a positive environment.
Attend a two-day training or shadowing session before starting work.
Take attendance, manage student sign-ins, and interact with parents and school staff.
Capture a few class photos for documentation.
