About The Position
Join Our Team as a Youth Counselor in Cogan Station! Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young individuals? Adelphoi is hiring youth counselors. We provide a 4-week rotating schedule which includes day, afternoon, and weekend shifts. We’re conveniently located in Cogan Station, PA. At our group homes, we prioritize treatment plans that yield exceptional results for youth. Requirements
- Safely perform physical interventions and restraints with individuals who may weigh 200+ pounds, using approved techniques.
- Stand, walk, and respond quickly throughout the shift.
- Successfully complete and maintain certification in Adelphoi’s crisis intervention / restraint training and pass any required physical abilities assessment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor youth in a residential setting.
- Maintain safety and order using approved crisis‑prevention and physical intervention techniques when necessary.
- Participate in de‑escalation, restraint, and emergency response procedures as trained and required.
- Work collaboratively with other staff to provide consistent structure and support.
