About The Position

Lead after-school cheerleading classes for K–6th graders at elementary schools across Fairfax County and Northern Virginia. The instructor runs their own class and leads energetic sessions focused on fun, teamwork, and skill-building. The employer provides curriculum and training. Classes take place on weekdays from 3–5 p.m., with a schedule of 1–3 days per week and 10–20 children per class. Starting pay is $20–$25 per hour based on experience, with pay up to $30 per hour for returning experienced coaches.

Requirements

• Experience working with children; coaching, teaching, camp, or recreation experience qualifies.
• Basic cheer knowledge.
• Reliability, punctuality, and professionalism.
• Must pass a background check and fingerprinting.
• Reliable transportation to school sites; having a personal vehicle is preferred.

Nice To Haves

• A personal vehicle.
• Experience as a returning coach, which may qualify for pay up to $30 per hour.
