Dallas & Fort Worth - Youth Cheer Coach (1x per week)
About The Position
ACTIVSTARS is seeking an enthusiastic part-time Cheer Coach to work with young athletes in the Dallas Metro and Fort Worth areas. The coach leads three age-group teams in cheer basics, cheer dance, and pom routines, with practices held one consistent evening per week. The position also involves participating in three to four paid weekend events per semester, with dates provided in advance. Paid training is provided upon hire. Training covers teaching guidelines and practice structure and includes shadowing a veteran coach to learn class flow and expectations. The role may suit college students, parents, and former cheerleaders interested in staying involved in cheer and making a positive impact.
Requirements
- Previous cheerleading and/or coaching experience.
- Enjoy working with children ages 4–15.
- Be positive, energetic, and able to serve as a strong role model.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare lesson plans and run weekly practices.
- Teach cheer skills safely and effectively.
- Choreograph routines and performance cheers.
- Introduce basic stunting fundamentals.
- Manage attendance and simple records.
- Coach three age groups in cheer basics, cheer dance, and pom routines.
- Participate in three to four paid weekend events per semester.
