YOUTH CARE WORKER - PRN
About The Position
Rite of Passage is hiring a PRN Youth Care Worker at Fort Myers Academy in Fort Myers, Florida. The academy provides comprehensive care and treatment, specializing in evidence-based intensive mental health services in a supportive environment. The Youth Care Worker helps create a positive, safe, and supportive environment for the youth served and supports their development within the program. This position provides 24-hour security and supervision to help ensure youth safety. The schedule is PRN and depends on facility needs, with hours available on day and/or night shifts. The employee must attend a three-week orientation training, Monday through Friday. Starting pay is $19 per hour, and a $1,000 bonus is offered after successful completion of Essential Skills Training within the first 90 days.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Either one year of experience working with at-risk youth in a direct care position or 60 hours of college education.
- Valid driver's license.
- Attend a three-week orientation training, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
- Provide security and supervision to help ensure the safety of youth.
- Monitor and document youth behaviors.
- Monitor and join youth during sports and recreation time.
- Assist and mentor youth as they learn and develop within the program.
