About The Position

Beloit Health System is seeking a Youth Apprentice to join their team as a Resident Aide. This Per Diem Youth Apprenticeship position is located at Riverside Terrace in Beloit, WI. The Youth Apprentice will engage in daily tasks supporting healthcare professionals, gaining practical experience, and contributing to the overall patient care experience. This role specifically focuses on providing essential caregiving activities to residents within the facility.

Requirements

• Must be a current High School Student, 16 years of age or older
• Interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Interest in pursuing a career in healthcare
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a healthcare environment

Nice To Haves

• Basic understanding of medical terminology helpful

Responsibilities

• Be involved in day-to-day tasks to support healthcare professionals
• Gain hands-on experience
• Contribute to the overall patient care experience
• Provide key caregiving activities to residents in the facility
• Use standard precautions and infection prevention controls
• Change linens
• Follow Individual Service Plans
• Assist residents with daily living activities including dressing, bathing, showering, personal hygiene, mobility assistance and transfers
• Assist with use and care of ADL devices
