About The Position

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Bi-Lingual individual to join our team as a Youth Advocate. As a Youth Advocate, you will be responsible for providing support and guidance to young individuals, empowering them to overcome challenges and achieve their goals. You will play a crucial role in advocating for the rights and well-being of youth, ensuring they have access to necessary resources and opportunities for personal growth. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of young people and contributing to their development and success. Bi-Lingual/Spanish Speaking is Required. Hourly, Part-Time position serving youth and families throughout Portland/ Multnomah County are available. Applicant must be dependable, committed, and able to serve as a positive role model for youth in the community, school and home settings. The Primary responsibilities of the Advocate are to initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families. All service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wrap around model. This position offers flexible hours, competitive weekly pay, mileage and activity reimbursement.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Experience working with at-risk youth and families
  • Experience in community work and knowledge of community resources.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be Bilingual (Spanish Speaking)
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance coverage.

  • Flexible Schedule (Non-Traditional Hours - Evenings and Weekends may be required)
  • Travel throughout the coverage area to homes, schools, and in the community
