About The Position

Professional Services Group (PSG) is a community-based social services organization seeking a Youth & Adult Support Specialist in Brown County. This role involves providing individual skill development and support to youth and adults referred through the Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) Program. The specialist will assist clients in achieving their individualized goals through various services including individual meetings, recreational activities for social skill development, crisis intervention, school support, and parent contact. The position starts part-time with the potential to grow into a full-time role as the client caseload expands. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals seeking part-time work or recent graduates entering the human services/mental health field.

Requirements

• Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related.
• Must have reliable transportation on a daily basis, a valid driver's license, and automobile insurance.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working with at-risk youth and families is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze youth capabilities, strengths and problems to determine the services required to meet the unique needs of youth.
• Implement, evaluate and review youth goals in collaboration with team members, youth and their families.
• Exercise judgment to intervene as an advocate for youth in school, the community and during emergency and crisis situations.
• Attend youth/family team meetings.
• Organize and facilitate individual meetings and structured recreational activities that assist youth in developing pro-social skills and connections.
• Safely transport clients as needed.
