About The Position
The YES Teacher plays a pivotal role in delivering educational programs within community-based settings, focusing on youth development and empowerment. This position is designed to engage students through innovative teaching methods that foster academic growth, social skills, and personal responsibility. The teacher will collaborate with program coordinators to tailor lessons that meet diverse learning needs and support positive youth outcomes. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification or equivalent credential recognized in the United States.
- Experience working with youth in educational or community service settings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage classroom dynamics and maintain a safe learning environment.

Responsibilities

- Facilitate engaging classroom activities that promote academic achievement and personal development.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support to encourage continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with program staff, parents, and community partners to support student success.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, performance, and behavior in compliance with program standards.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that respects diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and program effectiveness.
