About The Position

We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Yard Switcher / Receiving Associate to support warehouse and yard operations. A CDL is not required, but candidates must have experience operating a manual transmission semi-truck and be proficient in backing trailers into dock doors. When not performing yard moves, the associate assists with receiving, unloading trailers, palletizing products, and other warehouse duties.

Requirements

CDL is not required.
Experience operating a manual transmission semi-truck is required.
Demonstrated ability to safely back trailers into dock doors.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and repeatedly.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Must be able to pass a drug screening.
Must be able to pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

Previous receiving, warehouse, unloading, or logistics experience.
Forklift experience; certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

Move trailers throughout the yard and position them at designated dock doors.
Safely back trailers into loading and unloading docks.
Operate a manual transmission semi-truck safely and efficiently.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of yard equipment.
Maintain organized trailer staging and yard flow.
Follow yard safety procedures and traffic regulations.
Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities against shipping documents.
Unload trailers using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
Palletize, sort, and stage products for storage or shipment.
Inspect incoming freight for damage and report discrepancies.
Assist with inventory control and product organization.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Support shipping, receiving, and general warehouse operations as needed.
