About The Position
Strategic Workforce Development is hiring a Yard Shuttle Lead to oversee vehicle inventory lots for a major automaker in the Kansas City area. The role involves leading and monitoring yard shuttle drivers and inspectors, coordinating vehicle movements and schedules, driving company or customer vehicles, and maintaining safety records and reports. The position pays $24.00 per hour and is scheduled for first shift, with evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
Requirements
- Lead or supervisory experience.
- Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
- Comfort working outdoors in all weather.
- Strong communication skills and attention to safety.
Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and monitor yard shuttle drivers and inspectors.
- Ensure vehicles are moved, parked, and stored correctly and safely.
- Maintain the schedule for vehicle arrivals and departures.
- Drive company or customer vehicles safely and perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Monitor for hazards, maintain records, and complete reports on time.
