About The Position

Rogers Group, Inc. is seeking a Yard Loader Operator for its Lacey’s Spring Quarry in Lacey’s Spring, Alabama. The position reports to the Plant Manager and is responsible for safe, efficient loader operation and supporting quarry production. This is a full-time, permanent second-shift role scheduled from 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM. Weekend work may be required, and overtime is available but not promised.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• General mechanical knowledge.
• Ability to maintain safe working conditions.
• Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime, weekends, or different shifts as production requires.
• Ability to work independently without close supervision.
• Physical ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and lift or move up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Willingness to cross-train and assist in other areas of the operation as needed.

• Previous experience working in a mining environment.

Responsibilities

• Learn and understand the company’s safety culture and implement Rogers Group’s safety principles without compromise.
• Operate a front-end loader to move and load shot rock, crushed stone, or overburden safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a consistent feed to the plant or crusher while minimizing downtime and spillage.
• Perform plant maintenance and cleanup when needed.
• Conduct daily pre-shift equipment inspections and report mechanical issues or needed repairs.
• Assist with maintaining haul roads, loading areas, and stockpiles to ensure safe and efficient traffic flow.
• Communicate with the plant operator, haul truck drivers, and other pit personnel using radios and hand signals.
• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor in charge and assist in other areas as necessary.
