About The Position

The Yard Lead ensures vehicles are received, processed, staged in the yard, and labeled according to customer and internal requirements. The role provides updates on vehicle inventory, reports damage and mis-shipped vehicles, and schedules vehicle delivery. The position must follow company policies and procedures, OHSA regulations, and current Health & Safety procedures. This is a second-shift position, Monday through Friday, 2:45 p.m. to 10:45 p.m., with overtime as needed. Pay is $20.30 per hour plus a 5% shift premium.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work safely in accordance with the Company Health and Safety Policy and Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements.
Alert the immediate supervisor or plant manager/designee to problems or concerns related to safety or yard flow.
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
Proven organizational skills.
Valid Ontario Class G driver's license.

Nice To Haves

Previous leadership experience.
Basic computer skills in MS Office.

Responsibilities

Receive, label, and properly stage vehicles in the yard according to customer and internal requirements.
Complete and distribute vehicle inventory lists throughout the shift as required.
Paper vehicles upon completion when required by the customer.
Report and track damage to incoming vehicles with the shift supervisor, plant manager, or designee.
Enter and note vehicle damage in Vintracker as required.
Ship vehicles offsite for necessary repairs.
Check vehicle status.
Flag and stage mis-shipped vehicles according to customer and internal requirements.
Communicate with the logistics company regarding vehicle delivery.
Accurately report the number of vehicles shipped and received.
Complete monthly inventory comparisons.
Keep the yard clean, orderly, and operating efficiently while following company, Health & Safety, and yard etiquette policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
