About The Position

Perform yard labor work necessary to assist with the manufacturing of high-quality precast concrete products. The role is based in Grove City, Ohio, and is permanent, full-time work scheduled from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays. The stated pay is $19 per hour, with overtime opportunities and overtime work when required.

Requirements

• Work in all weather conditions with little to no climate control and regular exposure to dust, dirt, noise, vibrations, varying lighting conditions, stairs, and narrow walkways.
• Safely lift and move up to 50 lbs.; walk, climb, bend, reach, use hand tools with force, maintain spatial awareness and depth perception, and communicate effectively in a busy industrial environment.
• Carry out complex verbal instructions.
• Work well with others and maintain professional conduct.
• Work overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize the yard for panel movement and storage, including setting up rows, ensuring adequate dunnage, and maintaining proper dunnage placement.
• Support safe panel handling and crane operations by connecting and disconnecting cables, helping locate panels, directing crane operators, and ensuring panels are positioned straight and level.
• Load and stage panels for transportation according to load tickets, prepare trailers for the next day’s first-round loads, and verify proper dunnage during loading and yarding.
• Inspect panels for damage and required tags, and complete daily truck checks for oil, fuel, tires, and other basic operating conditions.
• Maintain accurate panel and yard records, including panel moves, yard locations, trailer and load assignments, and cast numbers.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by collecting and properly storing dunnage and keeping work areas clear.
