About The Position
The Yard Laborer position will be responsible for torching larger pieces of metal, moving materials and purchasing scrap from walk-in customers. This role requires a self-starter with strong interpersonal, communication, and organization skills, who can multitask and adhere to deadlines. The position also emphasizes maintaining a clean and organized work environment and following 5S lean production principles.
Requirements
- High school diploma preferred but not required
- Self-starter that takes initiative along with analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal, communication and organization skills
- Ability to multitask and adhere to deadlines
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Exerting up to one hundred (100) pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to fifty (50) pounds of force frequently, and/or up to twenty (20) pounds of force constantly to move objects
- Ability to operate machinery and determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned including making general observations of facilities
Responsibilities

- Regular and timely attendance
- Follow the 5S foundations for deploying lean production tools and processes
