About The Position

The Yard Laborer supports daily warehouse and material-handling operations safely, efficiently, and in an organized manner. The role includes moving materials with warehouse equipment, preparing and cleaning trailers, assisting with truck loading and unloading, and supporting production teams with material-handling tasks. The position requires physical work in varied environmental conditions, including inclement weather, and the ability to work independently and with a team. Candidates should have basic warehouse experience, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to following company policies and safe work practices.

Requirements

• Must be at least 23 years old.
• Good customer-service and teamwork skills.
• Good physical condition, including the ability to get in and out of trucks several times per day.
• Able to work in all types of environments, including inclement weather.
• Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check before employment.
• Ability to work in a self-directed environment.
• Able to lift 45 pounds.
• Must wear protective gear and steel-toe shoes.
• Able to perform repetitive-motion work.
• Entry-level to 1 year of inventory, warehouse, or receiving experience.
• Able to prove the right to work in the United States.
• Sufficient work experience to be successful on the job.

Nice To Haves

• High school graduate or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform all work in compliance with company policy and applicable guidelines.
• Use warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks, manual jacks, and forklifts.
• Clean out trailers before or after moving them.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
• Assist operators with various material-handling duties.
• Break down, clean, organize, and prepare materials according to procedures and production requirements.
• Implement and follow safe work practices and rules.
