About The Position
Terzo Enterprises is a logistics company focused on the repair, refurbishment, and re-manufacturing of pallets. The Yard Hostler assists with moving and spotting equipment to support warehouse organization and the processing of materials for shipment or storage. Duties include trailer sanitation, moving equipment, and conducting daily inspections. A CDL is not required. This is an on-site role driving a hostler truck, with 1st- and 2nd-shift openings.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Valid driver's license.
- CDL is not required.
Responsibilities
- Shuttle loaded trailers to the facility and return with empty trailers to be reloaded.
- Move trailers of shells and return the empty trailers to be loaded.
- Place empty trailers at the appropriate docks for loading.
- Ensure trailers placed in docks are properly locked.
- Keep loaded trailers moving away from docks and replace them with empty trailers to avoid slowing the loading process.
- Conduct yard checks as needed to maintain trailer inventory.
- Operate a forklift as needed.
- Perform trailer sanitation and daily equipment inspections.
