About The Position

This position assists workers engaged in fabrication of structural or sheet metal products by performing various duties in a year-round outdoor environment. The role involves protecting finished products, ensuring accurate labeling, and maintaining a clean work area. Successful candidates will have the opportunity for forklift training and advancement.

Requirements

Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training.
Regularly required to stand and reach with hands and arms.
Able to perform basic math (adding, subtracting).
Able to read a ruler.
Must be able to lift 50lbs.
Must be able to work outdoors year round.
Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

Forklift experience a plus.
Ability to understand efficient operations to be ready for forklift training and loading training.

Responsibilities

Operate strapping tools safely and understand banding procedure in the pull-ticket area.
Band/strap finished product to protect the material and ensure straight, square, tight skids after banding.
Apply all labels straight, neatly, and in their proper location.
Spray paint color coding by gauge.
Keep the pull-ticket area clean and organized daily.
Understand product/item codes and product identification for efficient operations.
Perform other routine duties.
Observe Safety and Standard Operating Procedures.
Report potentially unsafe conditions and use equipment and materials properly.
