About The Position

We are seeking a reliable, mechanically inclined Equipment Operator to join our mulch manufacturing team. This role is hands-on and ideal for someone who understands heavy equipment, enjoys troubleshooting, and takes pride in keeping operations running efficiently. Operate heavy equipment including wheel loaders (Volvo L90), excavators, grinders, and dye machines.

Requirements

  • Prior experience operating heavy equipment required
  • Operate heavy equipment including wheel loaders (Volvo L90), excavators, grinders, and dye machines
  • Strong mechanical aptitude (ability to diagnose and fix minor equipment issues)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor setting in varying weather conditions
  • Dependable, hardworking, and safety-focused
  • Willingness to work a Monday–Saturday schedule
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to lift and handle freight/materials up to 75 pounds throughout the workday.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English to perform the essential job functions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in manufacturing, landscaping materials, or similar environment preferred
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) is helpful.
  • Able to pass background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment including wheel loaders (Volvo L90), excavators, grinders, and dye machines
  • Keeping yard area neat and organized.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure consistent, high-quality mulch output
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and basic repairs on equipment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and minimize downtime
  • Load, move, and process raw materials safely and efficiently
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
