About The Position

Master Halco, a manufacturer and distributor of fence and deck products, is seeking a Yard Associate for its branch office in Shreveport, Louisiana. The position works both inside the warehouse and outside in the yard, preparing customer orders, loading and unloading trailers, receiving and putting away inbound materials, and keeping yard stock clean and organized. Daily work is approximately 70% forklift operation and 30% manual sorting and staging of materials. The role requires safe material handling, accurate completion of work orders and receiving documents, and a focus on teamwork and customer service. The schedule is Monday through Friday on day shift, with overtime as needed. The stated wage is $19.00–$21.00 per hour.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse or yard position.
• Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 60 pounds on occasion.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Sit-down forklift experience is highly desired.
• Experience with building materials is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review order documents and prepare accurate product pulls for customers.
• Load trucks accurately for outgoing shipments.
• Receive inbound materials and put them away.
• Complete work orders and receiving documents accurately.
• Pull, prepare, and package orders for shipment.
• Rotate yard stock and safely move materials using a forklift.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
• Work with the team to support branch success and provide excellent customer service.
• Sort and stage materials manually in the yard.
