About The Position

The Sales Associate provides quality customer service and drives product sales. This role requires knowledge of products across store departments, adherence to company policies and visual standards, and active promotion of sales and promotions. The Sales Associate represents the organization and brand, creates a positive customer experience, and helps acquire and retain customers. The position also supports daily store operations, maintains merchandise presentation, works toward sales goals, and communicates merchandise, pricing, and operational concerns to store management. This role has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

0–2 years of customer service experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks without being asked.
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks precisely.
Team player passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional customer service, including assisting customers as they enter the store and helping multiple customers during peak periods.
Promote and sell the organization’s services and merchandise.
Set goals to improve selling skills and track overall sales.
Follow company policies, procedures, and standards in the operations, personnel, visual, and customer service manuals, as well as company memos.
Assist with daily store operations, including work lists, cleanup lists, weekly shipments, and store maintenance.
Present merchandise to promote and sell products, using guidance from the product knowledge manual.
Meet or exceed sales targets and goals.
Identify and communicate merchandise needs, pricing concerns, and operational problems to store management.
Attend store staff meetings and tech clinics.
Protect company assets and financial information by following internal control procedures and reporting potential fraud risks to management or appropriate officials.
