About The Position

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Yard Associate, also described as a Porter / Yard Worker. The position is responsible for stationing and retrieving equipment on the location’s property, maintaining a written maintenance schedule, and servicing equipment as necessary to ensure it meets set specifications. The Yard Associate inspects equipment before and after rental and documents lost or damaged equipment. This is a safety-focused role in a fast-paced environment, with potential to advance into mechanic, driver, or customer service roles.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to perform basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• General mechanical aptitude.
• Safety-focused approach.
• Bilingual ability in Spanish or another language may be required depending on location needs.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with common construction and industrial tools.
• Some experience and/or training in repairing mechanical equipment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
