About The Position

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Yard Associate, also described as a Porter / Yard Worker. The role is responsible for stationing and retrieving equipment on the location’s property, maintaining a written maintenance schedule, and servicing equipment as necessary to ensure it meets set specifications. The Yard Associate inspects equipment before and after rental to document lost or damaged equipment. This is a safety-focused, fast-paced role with opportunities to advance into mechanic, driver, or customer service positions. The physical demands include bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors or outdoors as required. Requirements

Ability to communicate effectively with customers, both in writing and orally.
Ability to perform basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
General mechanical aptitude.
Safety-focused approach to work.
Ability to bend, squat, crouch, reach, lift 50 pounds or more, and work indoors or outdoors as required by the job.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED.
Experience with common construction and industrial tools.
Some experience and/or training in repairing mechanical equipment.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Bilingual ability (Spanish or another language) may be required based on location needs.
