About The Position

The Yard Associate (also described as a Porter / Yard Worker) stations and retrieves equipment on the location’s property. The role maintains a written maintenance schedule and may service equipment as necessary to ensure equipment meets set specifications. The Yard Associate inspects equipment before and after rentals to document lost or damaged equipment. The position involves work indoors or outdoors as required and is part of a safety-focused environment. The role may provide opportunities to advance into mechanic, driver, or customer service positions.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, both in writing and orally.
• Ability to perform basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• General mechanical aptitude.
• Safety-focused approach.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting 50 pounds or more.
• Bilingual ability (Spanish or another language) may be required depending on location needs.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience with common construction and industrial tools preferred.
• Some experience and/or training in mechanical equipment repair preferred.
