Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of yard or related experience and competent at operating compact construction equipment or related equipment.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Forklift experience required.
  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record
  • Ability to obtain a DOT medical card
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to effectively communicate with customers.
  • Strong work ethic including being dependable and punctual.
  • Ability to pass a criminal and motor vehicle background screening.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers upon entry into the yard or store.
  • Assist customers with loading and unloading equipment and attachments and inspect equipment upon return to ensure it is returned in good order.
  • Deliver or pick up equipment to and from customer locations within Plymouth County utilizing company truck and trailer.
  • Interact with customers on basic instructions and returns.
  • Maintain yard in a clean, orderly and safe condition and create an appealing appearance to customers.
  • Operate forklift to move merchandise and stock yard and warehouse.
  • Load materials for customers onto company delivery vehicles.
  • Unload incoming freight and move to it’s appropriate department or location.
  • Accurately build loads and prepare materials for delivery.
  • Remove snow, dirt and debris and wash equipment so it’s ready for sale or rent.
  • Perform daily safety and maintenance checks.
  • Assist Rental and Parts departments as needed.
