About The Position

This role is for a well-organized and detail oriented individual ready to support a multi-state construction business like Accu-Crete through careful management and oversight of company equipment. The Yard Administrator is responsible for ensuring company equipment is readily available and properly always maintained for our active projects. This role also is responsible for logistics and coordinating with the appropriate state officials/agencies when permits are required for interstate hauling.

  • Ability to communicate orally in person and over devices with peers, vendors, contractors, clients, and construction workers is crucial.
  • Regular use of mobile devices (talking or texting) and email for communication is essential and required for everyday tasks.
  • Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information, and prepare, inspect, or review documents.
  • A pre-employment drug test is required for all personnel.
  • Daily job duties and responsibilities require the ability to: remain in a stationary position, move about an office/yard site effectively and frequently.
  • Physical requirements include: the ability to ascend and descend ladders and stairs on occasion, regular exertion of up to 10 lbs. of force, occasional heavy lifting (30+ lb. / 13.6+ kg), and good manual dexterity for use of common office equipment (e.g., computers, mobile devices, copiers).

  • Experience working in logistics or construction is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter and maintain Bill of Ladings into company inventory system
  • Assist/maintain schedule of incoming equipment orders and equipment inventory.
  • Apply for hauling permits as needed to move equipment between states
  • Responsible for the accuracy of all paperwork concerning any movement of equipment
  • Record repairs and maintenance performed on equipment and vehicle fleet
  • Prepare and maintain maintenance schedules for equipment and vehicle fleet
  • Ensure all required maintenance on equipment and vehicles is performed in a timely manner
  • Track current repair status (including repair completion dates) of all equipment and vehicles
  • Maintain upcoming maintenance and repair cost schedules and report to Upper Management on a regular basis
  • Identify and report any unusual repair requests or activity relating to equipment, vehicles, or yard
  • Record/track purchases and ordering of parts as needed for equipment repairs
  • Solicit pricing proposals where required
  • Properly account for equipment that is to be charged to specific projects
  • Prepare and/or respond to routine reports using Excel, Word, or other software as requested
  • Maintain and set-up filing systems, photocopy/scan documents as requested/required
  • Any other administrative duties as requested/required
