About The Position

Barron Industries, a leader in aerospace and defense manufacturing since 1983, is seeking an experienced XRAY Tech Level II to join our team in Oxford, MI. This role involves performing digital X-ray inspections, interpreting radiographic images, documenting results, and ensuring equipment performance. The ideal candidate will have a Level II Radiographic Testing (RT) certification or the ability to certify, experience with CR/DR equipment, and the ability to read engineering drawings and specifications. This position also requires strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. The role includes opportunities for training and support for industry certifications and advancement within the company.

Requirements

  • Level II Radiographic Testing (RT) certification or ability to certify to NAS 410.
  • Experience with Computed Radiography (CR) and/or Digital Radiography (DR) preferred.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Pass required visual acuity examination.
  • Understand, follow, and implement NAS 410 and AS9100.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Computed Radiography (CR) and/or Digital Radiography (DR)

Responsibilities

  • Perform digital X-ray inspections using CR/DR equipment.
  • Interpret radiographic images and evaluate defects to customer specifications.
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
  • Verify equipment performance and support calibration activities.
  • Assist in developing and improving inspection techniques and procedures.
  • Identify and report nonconforming products.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
  • Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives.
  • Train and mentor Level I technicians as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
