About The Position

This contract position is for an experienced X-Ray Tech looking for a change. The role involves performing diagnostic imaging examinations, preparing patients, positioning them for optimal image quality, maintaining records, adhering to safety protocols, collaborating with radiologists, and maintaining equipment.

Requirements

• Active license within the state of Indiana
• Active ARRT R
• 2 years of recent and related experience (X-Ray)
• At least one year of recent level 1 trauma experience is required
• Must be able to work independently, yet together as part of a team
• Must be able to remain calm under pressure
• Active BLS, physical, TB test, and other medical compliance as required by facility

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging examinations using X-ray equipment
• Prepare patients for procedures and explain the process clearly
• Position patients correctly to obtain high-quality images
• Maintain patient records and ensure proper documentation
• Adhere to safety protocols to protect patients and staff from radiation exposure
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare professionals to interpret images
• Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment regularly
