About The Position

BJC HealthCare System is seeking a Full-Time Advanced Modality Radiology Technologist for Barnes-Jewish Hospital – New Plaza West Tower (main level). This role involves performing radiographic imaging examinations independently, with occasional time in the Operating Room (OR), portable exams, and other tasks assigned by the department. The technologist will work independently in the emergency room (ER) using Siemens equipment in our ED and a combination of Samsung and Carestream portables. The position is for an overnight shift, Monday – Thursday (7:30pm – 5am), working 4 days per week (36 hours). Upcoming grads, New Grads, and experienced Radiologic Technologists are welcome to apply. A $5,000 Sign On Bonus is available for eligible candidates.

Requirements

• Associate degree or higher
• Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography - R.T.(R)
• ARRT registered technologist.
• Associate or Trade School Equi

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Interventional, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control.
• Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
• Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other site as required by work area.
• Performs radiographic imaging examinations independently.
• Occasional time in the Operating Room (OR).
• Portable exams and other tasks assigned by the department.
• Work independently in the emergency room (ER).
