About The Position

BJC HealthCare System is seeking a Full-Time Radiology Technologist for Barnes-Jewish Hospital – New Plaza West Tower (main level). This position involves performing radiographic imaging examinations independently, including in-house patients, occasional time in the Operating Room (OR), portable exams, and other tasks assigned by the department. The technologist will also work independently in the emergency room (ER). The hospital is a leading institution in Missouri, ranked nationally by U.S. News & World Report, and is known for its advanced imaging equipment and pioneering work in radiology.

Requirements

• Associate degree or higher
• Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography - R.T.(R)
• ARRT registered technologist.
• IEMA - Illinois only, excl MRI
• Radiology Technologist - Reg

• <2 years experience
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic imaging examinations independently.
• Occasional time in the Operating Room (OR).
• Portable exams and other tasks assigned by the department.
• Work independently in the emergency room (ER).
• Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
• Informs patient on instructions and what the procedure entails with a high level of customer service and professionalism.
