About The Position

Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is hiring a Full-Time X-Ray Technologist (Weekend Option) for Barnes-Jewish Hospital – Plaza West Tower Radiology - Gen Diag Dept. This position offers a $5,000 Sign-On Bonus for eligible candidates and Weekend Premium Pay, providing 50% extra on the hourly rate for weekend hours. The schedule involves working Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7am-7:30pm, allowing for a great work-life balance with four days off in a row. The role involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (CT, MRI, Interventional, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control. The technologist will prepare patients and equipment for procedures and perform studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other sites as required by the work area. Requirements

  • Associate degree or Trade School equivalency (or higher level of education)
  • Certification / Registered Technologist in Radiography - R.T.(R) or MR
  • One year commitment

Responsibilities

  • Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Interventional, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control.
  • Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
  • Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other site as required by work area.
