Wound Care Nurse - RN - PRN
About The Position
RestorixHealth is hiring a PRN Wound Care Registered Nurse to provide patient care and support the organization’s mission to restore health, improve quality of life, and increase access to care for patients with wounds. The RN uses the Nursing Process to plan, implement, direct, and evaluate patient care for optimal outcomes, and collaborates with other disciplines on the assigned unit. Ongoing training is provided. The role follows a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends. Requirements
- Associate degree in nursing; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required for Magnet Hospitals.
- Valid Registered Nursing license.
- Valid CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience working with wound care patients; training will be provided.
- Prior experience with billing and coding is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care based on scientific principles, nursing theory, and evidence-based practice.
- Recognize changes in patients’ conditions and intervene appropriately.
- Prioritize nursing actions according to patient needs, acuity, and desired outcomes.
- Implement physician orders accurately within appropriate time frames.
- Educate and counsel patients and their families about wound care processes and issues.
- Plan, implement, direct, and evaluate patient care using the Nursing Process.
- Collaborate with other disciplines on the assigned unit.
