Wound Care Nurse - RN - PRN
About The Position
RestorixHealth is hiring a PRN Wound Care Nurse (Registered Nurse) to provide wound care and support patient recovery. Using the Nursing Process, the RN plans, implements, directs, and evaluates patient care to achieve optimal outcomes. The nurse collaborates with other disciplines on the assigned unit, prioritizes nursing actions, and accurately implements physician orders within appropriate time frames. Ongoing training is provided for the role. RestorixHealth develops and manages wound healing and Amputation Prevention Center facilities. Requirements
- Associate degree in nursing.
- Valid Registered Nursing license.
- Valid CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience working with wound care patients; training will be provided.
- Prior experience with billing and coding.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required for Magnet Hospitals.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care based on scientific principles, nursing theory, and evidence-based practice.
- Recognize changes in a patient's condition and intervene appropriately.
- Prioritize nursing actions to reflect patient needs, acuity, and desired outcomes.
- Implement physician orders accurately within appropriate time frames.
- Educate and counsel patients and their families about wound care processes and issues.
- Collaborate with other disciplines on the assigned unit.
- Plan, implement, direct, and evaluate patient care using the Nursing Process.
