Wound Care Nurse (RN) / Part-Time
About The Position
Regency Hospital - Florence is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. The Wound Care Nurse (RN) provides compassionate care to patients and supports skin preservation and wound care throughout the hospital. This is a part-time position in Florence, South Carolina, paying $40.48 to $54.10 per hour, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus. The hospital offers an extensive orientation program and potential advancement to full-time opportunities. Part-time employees are eligible for a 401(k) after reaching 1,000 hours within their first anniversary or a subsequent calendar year.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Nursing (AD) required.
- One year of related experience required.
- Valid state RN license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the start date.
- Complete wound care training within the first 90 days in the role.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Preserve skin integrity by implementing and monitoring skin preservation strategies.
- Ensure wound and skin care protocols are approved by the medical staff.
- Organize weekly multidisciplinary wound and skin rounds for high-risk patients and patients with current pressure ulcers or other significant wounds.
- Provide hands-on wound care for difficult and non-healing wounds.
- Serve as a resource to hospital staff on wound and skin care issues.
- Ensure all regulatory requirements are met.
