About The Position

Regency Hospital - Florence is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. The Wound Care Nurse (RN) provides compassionate patient care focused on preserving skin integrity and treating wounds. This is a part-time position in Florence, South Carolina, with compensation of $40.48 to $54.10 per hour and a $5,000 sign-on bonus. The role includes an extensive orientation program and may provide an opportunity to move into a full-time position. Part-time employees may qualify for 401(k) based on reaching 1,000 hours within their first anniversary or a subsequent calendar year.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Nursing (AD) required.
• One year of related experience required.
• Valid state RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the start date.
• Complete wound care training within the first 90 days in the role.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor skin preservation strategies to preserve skin integrity.
• Ensure wound and skin care protocols are approved by the medical staff.
• Organize weekly multidisciplinary wound and skin rounds for high-risk patients and patients with current pressure ulcers or other significant wounds.
• Provide hands-on wound care for difficult and non-healing wounds.
• Serve as a resource to hospital staff on wound and skin care issues.
• Ensure regulatory requirements are met.
