About The Position

New Song Alliance Church in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, is seeking a full-time Worship and Church Life Leader to provide spiritual and organizational oversight for worship, production, and designated areas of church life. The role treats worship as a lifestyle and ministry rather than a performance, helping shape the church’s spiritual life, unity, and culture of discipleship. The successful candidate will combine musical and creative ability with pastoral care, developing people and leaders while strengthening systems that support healthy ministry. The position is allocated approximately 50% to worship leadership, 30% to technical production leadership, and 20% to spiritual leadership development, with the latter shaped by the candidate’s experience and gifts. The role partners closely with pastoral staff. Depending on the candidate’s strengths, work may include investing in volunteers, mentoring emerging leaders, and supporting small groups. The position may require licensing with The Christian & Missionary Alliance. New Song is a growing contemporary evangelical church with average attendance of 300 across two Sunday evening services. Its staff includes two full-time pastors and seven support staff, and the church describes its culture as collaborative and supportive.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Lead worship for Sunday evening services.
Build and develop cohesive worship teams.
Schedule musicians, vocalists, and rehearsals.
Plan worship sets that align with the church’s theology and vision.
Identify and develop new worship leaders.
Provide leadership and support for technical and production teams.
Create and manage technical systems for worship services.
Generate service slides, music cues, and video content.
Train and support technical operators and volunteers.
Mentor emerging leaders.
Support and contribute to small group ministry and broader church life.
Participate in care, prayer, and spiritual formation responsibilities as appropriate.
Contribute to a culture of discipleship and leadership multiplication.
