About The Position

Kadence is seeking a Workplace Solutions Engineer in the United States for their AI-powered Workplace Operations Platform. This role is crucial for supporting enterprise customers as Kadence expands its offerings beyond basic booking to include comprehensive operations, planning, and portfolio management solutions. The Workplace Solutions Engineer will act as the technical expert, addressing complex IT requirements such as SSO, SCIM, calendar integrations, and hardware deployments. This position involves close collaboration with customer experience teams, product, and engineering to ensure successful implementations and customer satisfaction. The goal is to engineer Kadence for real-world workplace complexities, lead launch planning, deliver customer enablement, and advise on workplace operations best practices, ultimately driving adoption and demonstrating value to enterprise clients.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in a technical customer-facing role (solutions engineering, sales engineering, technical account management, implementation architecture, or enterprise IT delivery), ideally in SaaS serving mid-market and enterprise customers.
  • Real IT depth: ability to configure SSO in Entra ID or Okta, explain OIDC and SAML, troubleshoot SCIM provisioning failures.
  • Experience with calendar integration, proxy/Zscaler exceptions, MDM/Intune rollouts, and network/IP architecture conversations.
  • Experience owning launches, not just configurations, including running go-live plans with dependency chains, comms sequences, pilot cohorts, and cutover risk.
  • Natural coach and trainer: ability to design a curriculum, build assets, and deliver live to mixed audiences.
  • Excellent with enterprise IT and security stakeholders: ability to hold conversations with CISO, network architect, and workplace director.
  • Structurally organized: ability to manage 8–15 concurrent enterprise deployments.
  • Clean communication under pressure.
  • Builder's instinct: ability to turn recurring problems into templates, playbooks, or product feature requests.
  • Partners well: ability to work daily with CSMs, sales, product, engineering, and CTO, and give/take feedback professionally.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience with adjacent workplace tools (Envoy, Robin, OfficeSpace, iOFFICE/Eptura, Condeco, Archibus, FM Systems, SwipedOn).
  • Familiarity with Archilogic, AutoCAD, or CAD/DWG-sourced floor plans.
  • Hardware deployment experience — Neat, Poly, Logitech, iPad kiosks, occupancy sensors.
  • Scripting or query skills (SQL, basic Python, PowerShell) for data validation and bulk operations.
  • Prior experience deploying to CMMC, FedRAMP-adjacent, or heavily regulated customers.
  • Prior experience building customer training programs, certification tracks, or workplace-champion / ambassador networks.

Responsibilities

  • Own the technical implementation across our most complex enterprise deployments.
  • Design and deliver the technical rollout for named enterprise accounts - SSO (Entra ID, Okta, OIDC), SCIM provisioning, calendar integration (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace service accounts), Kadence Agent deployment via Intune/MDM, public-IP configuration for automated check-in, Zscaler/proxy/VPN exceptions, HRIS syncs (Azure AD, Workday feeds), and hardware setup (Neat devices, iPad kiosks, room displays).
  • Engineer Kadence for real-world workplace complexity by configuring the platform to model how each customer actually operates.
  • Lead launch planning and go-live orchestration, owning the launch plan for each customer, including sequence of events, dependency chains, and cutover playbooks.
  • Build and deliver customer enablement, designing and running training curricula for various customer roles and creating necessary assets.
  • Coach customers on workplace operations best practices, advising on adoption strategy, agent enablement, anchor days, neighborhood design, and more.
  • Navigate enterprise security, compliance, and change management, owning the technical narrative through Architecture Review Boards, security reviews, legal and procurement reviews, and compliance conversations.
  • Close the loop with Product and Engineering by compiling structured feedback, filing high-priority bug reports, and working directly with product managers and engineering on custom features and platform improvements.
  • Raise the bar for how Kadence is deployed by documenting repeatable technical playbooks, launch templates, and enablement curricula.
  • Partner with CX leadership on continuous improvement of our onboarding and implementation methodology.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary calibrated to a technical customer-facing role.
  • Meaningful equity stock options.
  • Health insurance.
  • 401(k).
