About The Position

The Workplace Health Specialist functions as a liaison between Mount Carmel and area employers by offering a variety of employer-sponsored wellness programs designed to promote a healthy lifestyle. Programs may include, but are not limited to: preventive screenings, educational offerings, & workplace health events. The specialist prepares educational materials & on-site programming, staffs on-site events & participates in wellness programs as requested by employers. This role may also function as an on-site event coordinator. The position requires a valid RN license to practice in the state of Ohio. Examples of programs include, but are not limited to: Wellness, Smoking Cessation, Work-Life Balance, Diabetes, Exercise, Heart Health, Body Mechanics, & Cancer Care. This position will work as needed, primarily Monday - Friday mornings and early afternoons.

Requirements

Valid RN license to practice in the state of Ohio
Minimum of 3 years in a clinical setting
Effective Communication Skills
Develops & maintains good interpersonal relationships with employers, employees & other community representatives.
Demonstrates a level of maturity that enables a positive & effective handling of all situations.
Demonstrates an ability to work independently & handle multiple tasks.
Maintains a professional demeanor & appearance.
Ability to work early morning or later evenings as required by employer contracts

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree preferred
Previous experience in wellness, health prevention or related experience, preferred.
Previous managerial experience preferred.

Responsibilities
