About The Position

Mojo Supermarket is seeking a highly organized, hands-on Workplace Experience & IT Manager to oversee the daily operations and experience of their New York office. This role involves managing in-office events and hospitality, and serving as the internal point person for technology operations. The ideal candidate is proactive, takes ownership, and ensures the smooth functioning of the office, technology, and events. While not requiring deep IT engineering expertise, the role involves managing the relationship with a managed IT service provider, coordinating requests, managing equipment, and tracking issues. This is a hands-on position focused on creating systems, improving processes, and anticipating future needs to enhance the overall workplace experience.

Requirements

  • Experienced workplace, office operations, facilities, hospitality, events, or business operations professional.
  • Natural owner who notices what needs to be done, takes initiative, and follows through without requiring day-to-day direction.
  • Exceptionally organized and able to balance planned priorities with unexpected needs.
  • Genuine hospitality mindset: anticipates needs, sweats the details, and cares about employee and guest experience.
  • Experienced in planning and executing employee events, office programming, or hospitality.
  • Comfortable managing external IT providers and technology vendors, with sufficient technical fluency to communicate issues clearly.
  • Strong at managing vendors, timelines, details, and budgets.
  • Calm and resourceful when unexpected situations arise.
  • Clear, confident, discreet, and comfortable operating independently in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an agency, creative company, startup, hospitality environment, or similarly fast-moving organization.
  • Experience managing an MSP or outsourced IT partner.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace, SaaS administration, or device management.
  • Experience producing internal events, client gatherings, or branded experiences.
  • Experience supporting workplace projects, office moves, buildouts, security, or compliance initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Own the day-to-day operation of Mojo's New York office, ensuring it is organized, stocked, functional, welcoming, and ready for employees and guests.
  • Manage relationships with building management, cleaning teams, maintenance providers, security, and other workplace vendors.
  • Oversee the physical workplace, including facilities, repairs, access, conference rooms and AV, seating, supplies, food and beverage, mail, deliveries, and daily office readiness.
  • Maintain appropriate workplace safety, emergency, and operational procedures.
  • Identify and resolve workplace issues proactively.
  • Plan and execute recurring in-office programming, such as weekly happy hours and employee gatherings.
  • Lead the operational execution of company events, meetings, celebrations, and client gatherings, managing vendors, catering, AV, setup, and breakdown.
  • Create a thoughtful hospitality experience for employees, candidates, clients, and guests.
  • Partner with People & Culture on programming objectives, independently managing calendars, logistics, vendors, budgets, and execution.
  • Build strong vendor relationships and continuously improve the in-office experience.
  • Serve as the primary internal owner of the managed IT provider and other technology vendors, ensuring service levels are met and issues are resolved.
  • Own the employee technology lifecycle, including equipment purchasing, provisioning, replacement, repair, recovery, and asset inventory.
  • Coordinate employee account creation, access changes, and deactivation with appropriate partners.
  • Oversee core workplace technology, including internet, Wi-Fi, printers, conference-room AV, and telecommunications.
  • Maintain clear documentation of systems, vendors, contracts, licenses, renewals, costs, processes, and escalation paths.
  • Partner with leadership and external providers on security, compliance, and device management initiatives.
  • Maintain visibility into workplace, event, and technology spend, reviewing invoices and tracking renewals.
  • Own the workplace and technology components of onboarding, ensuring new hires have necessary equipment, system access, and workspace ready.
  • Partner with People & Culture on onboarding and offboarding processes, managing equipment collection, access removal, and asset tracking during offboarding.
