About The Position

Taskrabbit is a marketplace platform that conveniently connects people with Taskers to handle everyday home to-do’s, such as furniture assembly, handyman work, moving help, and much more. At Taskrabbit, we want to transform lives one task at a time. As a company we celebrate innovation, inclusion and hard work. Our culture is collaborative, pragmatic, and fast-paced. We’re looking for talented, entrepreneurially minded and data-driven people who also have a passion for helping people do what they love. Together with IKEA, we’re creating more opportunities for people to earn a consistent, meaningful income on their own terms by building lasting relationships with clients in communities around the world. Taskrabbit is a hybrid company with employees distributed across the US and EU and a Built In — Best Places to Work (2022, 2023, 2024) continually ranked across multiple national and regional categories. Join us at Taskrabbit, where your work will be meaningful, your ideas valued, and your potential unleashed! This is a hybrid role working 4 days/week in our New York City office with the ability to work from home on Fridays. Some flexibility will be required for one-off evening or weekend office events though not often. At Taskrabbit, we’re building a workplace where people feel connected, valued, and empowered to do their best work — no matter where they are. As our Workplace & Culture Specialist, you’ll own the full employee experience for all Taskrabbit teammates across New York, London and the EU — from those working in our New York City hub to our hundreds of remote employees internationally. You’ll oversee the rhythm and energy of our NY and London offices, coordinate vendors, and ensure a vibrant onsite culture — while also designing and executing connection moments, meetups, and engagement programs that unite our distributed EU team. This is a role for a doer and a dreamer: someone who can think strategically about culture and inclusion, while jumping in to make it all happen. This position requires being onsite in our New York City office 3–4 days per week, with occasional evening or weekend flexibility for in-office events.

  • Experienced in employee engagement, workplace operations, or event planning, with strong attention to detail and project management skills.
  • Excited to blend strategic program design with hands-on execution — from shaping culture initiatives to setting up a team lunch.
  • Adept at collaborating cross-functionally and communicating clearly with diverse stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Inclusive, empathetic, and energized by bringing people together — whether on Google Meet Video or in a conference room.
  • Comfortable flexing your schedule occasionally to support evening or weekend events.
  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality and trust when handling sensitive facilities and organizational matters.

Responsibilities

  • Own the NY and EU employee experience: Lead culture, engagement, and connection programs that reach every NY and EU employee — whether remote or in-office.
  • Foster connection globally: Organize regional cultural programming, remote connection moments and local meetups to strengthen connection across the NY, LON and EU team.
  • Create an exceptional workplace experience: Manage daily NY & LON office operations — facilities, vendors, supplies, visitor and onsite logistics — ensuring an inclusive and energizing space.
  • Lead events and cultural programming: Be the chairperson of our Events & Connection Committee, planning and executing in-office and virtual events, celebrations, and connection rituals that bring our values to life.
  • Champion inclusion and belonging: Support Employee Resource Groups and recognition initiatives, from Culture Rockstar awards to heritage month celebrations and milestone moments.
  • Partner across the People Experience (PEX) team: Collaborate on onboarding, recognition, offboarding and wellbeing programs to ensure a cohesive global experience that feels locally relevant.
  • Enhance hybrid connection: Build systems and traditions that bridge the gap between our office and remote teammates — ensuring every U.S. & E.U. employee feels seen, supported, and included.
  • Track and evolve: Monitor participation, engagement, and sentiment to continuously improve the global employee experience; share insights with People leadership.
