About The Position

Constellation is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Permit Specialist to oversee the acquisition of electrical, HVAC, and plumbing permits across state and local jurisdictions. The role ensures permits, company trade licenses, and insurance documentation are current and compliant with applicable regulations. It is an on-site, office-based position in a team environment and is not hybrid. The expected salary range is $81,000 to $90,000, varying with experience.

Requirements

Proven experience in permit management, preferably in the electrical, HVAC, and plumbing industries.
Strong knowledge of state and local permit regulations and requirements.
10 years of experience in permit management or a trade-related role.
Ability to work effectively independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Ability to manage, motivate, mentor, train, and coach individuals and teams to maximize performance.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

Master's trade license in HVAC, Plumbing, or Electrical.

Responsibilities

Obtain, manage, and renew electrical, HVAC, and plumbing permits across state and local jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and standards.
Maintain current and valid company trade licenses and accurate permit and license records.
Coordinate with project managers and contractors to secure permits completely and on time.
Review project submissions for permit readiness and alignment with company best practices and qualifications.
Monitor changes in permitting requirements and guide the team on permitting processes and regulatory updates.
Build and maintain relationships with inspectors and jurisdictional authorities.
Ensure company insurance documentation is up to date and compliant with regulations.
