About The Position

Constellation is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Permit Coordinator to assist with obtaining electrical, HVAC, and plumbing permits across state and local jurisdictions. The role requires understanding electrical, mechanical, and plumbing codes and assisting the Permits Supervisor with keeping company trade licenses and insurance documentation current and compliant. The position is office-based, involves working in a team environment, and is not hybrid.

Requirements

Strong knowledge of state and local permit regulations and requirements.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Two years of experience in permit management, preferably in the electrical, HVAC, and plumbing industries.
Proficiency in relevant software and tools.

Nice To Haves

Journeyman trade license in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical.

Responsibilities

Coordinate with project managers and contractors to obtain electrical, HVAC, and plumbing permits in a timely manner across state and local jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and standards.
Assist the Permits Supervisor in maintaining and renewing company trade licenses.
Maintain accurate records of permits and licenses.
Monitor changes in permitting requirements and provide the team with guidance on processes and regulatory updates.
Build and maintain working relationships with inspectors and jurisdictional authorities.
Review incoming electrical, HVAC, and plumbing projects to confirm submitted information is sufficient for required permits and that projects meet Constellation Home best practices and qualifications.
